New business: McDonald’s Canada

 

We’re pleased to announce that Tribal DDB Toronto has been named digital agency of record for McDonald’s Canada.

 

“McDonald’s is one of the best-known and most well-respected brands in the world,” says Andrew McCartney, Managing Director, Tribal DDB Canada.

 

“Being named McDonald’s digital AOR in Canada is a great honour and the beginning of a fruitful partnership.”

 

The agency was awarded the business following a competitive pitch process, which began in March 2011.

“We’ve already made a strong connection with the team and are impressed by their vision of how we can better connect with consumers through digital channels,” says Yashinsky.

 

In addition to the exciting strategic challenges associated with serving the world’s largest QSR, McDonald’s also offers a unique creative opportunity for Tribal.

 

“From our first meetings with this client, we felt a shared sense of purpose around how McDonald’s should develop its digital offerings,” says LP Tremblay, Creative Director of Tribal DDB Toronto.

 

“So we came to the table with a bold, but also very focused vision for what their brand could be in the digital space.”

 

From a global standpoint, DDB and Tribal have been a part of the McDonald’s family for years.

Tribal DDB has already undertaken two major initiatives for McDonald’s Canada, including the national roll-out of the McCafé brand and a re-imagining of mcdonalds.ca.
